Kramer is a Cat.

Kramer is a cat, a big cat with a sophisticated name that goes with his regal appearance. He is handsome, with a white chest and paws to match, and it’s clear he knows he’s special.

He’s no ordinary kitty. Nope. Not only is he the bearer of a unique personality but also, he has a strong work ethic. Somewhere following his move-in years ago, he figured out his “job” - to keep track of his person, Rick. And does he ever. If there is an unexplained noise in the house, there is Kramer running at a full gallop. He lets nothing stand in his way because Rick’s activities are foremost in his mind. Even during catnaps his background listening stays on like radar, to detect any unusual sounds.

No room is off limits. He’s been known to crash into the bathroom door, forcing it to slide open to make sure Rick is ok. It can be quite a surprise when a ball of fur appears at a dead run and screeches to a halt. He then quietly looks up with an intense stare that queries, “Are you alright?”

He is famous for his role as house stalker, following Rick around everywhere during the day. And to top that off, he is an unrepentant lap fiend. As soon as Rick sits down, there is Kramer jumping up to take his rightful spot for cuddling and feeling like all is well with the world. It is clear he has a permanent reservation for occupying that space and Rick’s affection. Same with sleeping at night, when he nuzzles up to Rick before deciding “catwatch” is over for the day. He contentedly nods off, knowing that he and his person are fine.

From being an orphan in a dumpster to eventually landing at Rick’s door, he’s come a long way. Once traumatized and reserved, like spending much of the day hiding under a bed and not purring for a long time, he’s evolved into a proud, confident feline friend. They are bonded by love, caring, warm moments next to each other, loyalty, trust, and a little mischief. No relationship is perfect and Kramer makes sure of that by remaining a biter during play, like when he was a kitten. Rick has accepted his playmate’s antics as a gift because it keeps him on his toes for acting with fast reflexes to avoid those sharp teeth and have a good laugh afterwards. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a playful friend like this?
